Cultivating Courageous Growth Together
Monarch Meadows Retreat is a six-acre property being lovingly restored with wildflowers and a native prairie meadow, a place where the land itself will reflect the work that happens inside it.
The historic sanctuary has been converted into a dedicated training space, with a conference room, private office, wellness room, and game room in the basement fellowship hall. Across the driveway, the 1930s historic home sleeps 7–9 people, giving teams the rare gift of gathering overnight, arriving together, resting together, and leaving changed together.
We welcome individuals, couples, teams, organizations, and communities seeking rest, renewal, courageous growth, and healing through offsites, trainings, workshops, and team retreats.
It is a place built for the kind of work that asks something real of you.
Located at 5710 N Hwy 67 in Florissant, Missouri 63034.
Follow along on the Monarch Meadows Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram pages for ongoing restoration and renovation updates.

Courage is Built Here™
Full Training
September 16th to 18th, 2026
Most people problems are conversations nobody is having.
Three days at Courage is Built Here™ gives you and your leaders the skills, tools, and language to have them. So you can finally have the conversations that matter, and witness your people and business grow.
Most leaders aren’t struggling because they’ve lost their skills or talents. They’ve lost themselves.
They’re exhausted. The people issues never resolve. They keep showing up for a role, or a life, that feels slightly out of alignment with who they actually are. And underneath all of it? There are conversations they’ve been avoiding. With their team. With their family. With themselves.
The unspoken is never benign.
Whether you are an entrepreneur, a small business owner, a corporate leader, or leading a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, this training is for you.
Because courageous people make courageous teams. And courageous teams make courageous cultures.
Courage is Built Here™ is three days of real work. Not theory. Not a motivational retreat. The kind of work that changes how you lead, how you love, and how you show up for yourself and everyone you lead and love.
You will leave with the skills, tools, and language to have the conversations you’ve been avoiding, set boundaries with clarity and compassion, build and repair trust, and lead from your values rather than your exhaustion.

About Us

We're Chad & Justine Froelker.
We believe in restoring what's
been forgotten.
That belief started long before Monarch Meadows had a name. It shows up in the way Justine has spent 25 years helping people find their way back to themselves. It shows up in the way Chad has spent his career helping businesses build something steady enough to stand on. And it shows up in these six acres in Florissant, an old church and parsonage we are bringing back to life, one room at a time.
Justine is a Licensed Professional Counselor, speaker, and author, and the creator of Courage is Built Here™, a leadership curriculum built on one belief: leaders don't lose their skills, they lose themselves. Her work reaches educators, corporate teams, nonprofits, and communities across the country through keynotes, workshops, and full trainings, and it always comes back to the same question. What would it look like to lead from your whole self again?
Chad brings the steadiness that makes the boldness possible. As a fractional CFO, he has spent his career helping businesses find financial ground solid enough to grow from. At Monarch Meadows, that same steadiness shows up everywhere, in the numbers behind the renovation and in the quiet, grounded presence he brings to every project, contractor, and timeline not working in our favor.
Together, we lead with heart and hold with wisdom. Our love for nature, our long history in St. Louis, and our bold faith means we believe many things are worth restoring, no matter how long it takes, has brought us here.
Monarch Meadows is where we do that work now, alongside you. This is where teams have the conversations they've been avoiding. Where leaders remember who they are outside of what they produce.
Where restoration isn't just a metaphor. You can see it in the walls and feel it on the land.
We would love to welcome you here.
